Pack a Little Extra Happy: 56 Printable Lunchbox Notes Your Kids Will Love [Free Download!]
It’s been a minute! And by a minute, I mean… 577 days since I last posted a blog 😳 So hello there! Welcome back. Lovely to see ya! 👋
Since we last checked in, I had a baby (!!). And now that my sweet little Josie girl can hold a crayon, I’ve been revisiting some of my old Haylie’s Dailies creations and getting excited to use some of them with her — like these Printable Halloween Coloring + Activity Pages and this Free Printable Letter To Santa Template!
Okay… I’m getting ahead of myself! ◡̈
Anyhow, as I was digging around, I kept thinking about parents/guardians in the thick of back-to-school season. Packing lunches every day is already a juggling act, so why not make one part of it easier (and a lot sweeter)?!
✨ I created a set of 56 printable lunchbox notes. From holiday-themed cheer to everyday pick-me-ups and little reminders that you care, these notes are ready to print, cut, and pop right into their lunch. Then, stash them in a drawer so they’re ready for busy mornings. No late-night scribbling needed!
And of course, feel free to make them your own — add a doodle, do a little therapeutic coloring, or sign your name with a big “love you!” You know the drill. 😉
These tiny notes can do something big. They can make a child feel seen and loved in the middle of an ordinary school day.
The Magic Behind Lunchbox Notes ✨
A lunchbox note is more than paper — it’s a burst of love right in the middle of the day. It can be:
A reminder that someone at home is cheering for them
A joke to share at the lunch table
A secret pep talk when it’s needed most
A happy little surprise that brightens their whole day
Cute Ways to Spread Smiles with Lunchbox Notes ◡̈
There are so many ways to use these notes:
Feel Good Friday – start the weekend on a happy note
Motivation Mondays – a pep talk to kick off the week
Anytime Pick-Me-Up – for tough days, test days, or “just because” days
And if your kid doesn’t bring a packed lunch, you can still use them in fun ways:
In their backpack pocket
Inside a library book
Taped to a water bottle
On their pillow for after school
And teacher friends, these also make adorable little surprise notes for your students!
Pack More Smiles
Your kids won’t remember every snack you packed or every field trip permission slip you signed — but they will remember how you made them feel.
A lunchbox note is such a simple way to tell them: I’m thinking of you, you’re loved, and you’re going to rock today.
So print them out, pack them in, and make lunchtime a little bit brighter (and your mornings a little bit easier)! Happy back to school!
